The ALEX is made with a 100% sustainable hemp upper and Eco-Pure®, a foam midsole/outsole unit that promotes bio-degradation. Designed for an everyday wear, with plush cushioning, they weigh in at a super lightweight 6 ounces. Featuring Rackle’s proprietary Plexus Arch™ technology, that stimulates the foot, providing recovery benefits and comfort as you move though the day. You’ll feel so good, you might forget you have them on.
The 100% sustainable hemp upper is made of high grade hemp and provides year-round comfort and support thanks to the plants natural benefits: cool in the summer and warm in the winter; anti-microbial; lightweight; water-resistant; UV-resistant; and extremely durable.
Our shoes soles are made of EcoPure® and incorporate Rackle’s proprietary PLEXUS ARCH™ design. EcoPure® foam promotes bio-degradation – it begins to break down after 1 year in active enclosed landfill conditions. The PLEXUS ARCH™ with its raised ribbed arch design stimulates the foot where veins in the arch area meet (plexus) during forward motion (e.g. walking, etc.). PLEXUS ARCH™ technology offers recovery and comfort for people on the go.

THE BREAKDOWN:
UPPER - 100% Kulshan knit hemp: sustainable & biodegradable. Hemps natural benefits - cool in the summer and warm in the winter; anti-microbial; lightweight; water-resistant; UV-resistant; and extremely durable. The upper is lined with organic cotton certified by both OCS 3.0 and GOTS 6.0.
OUTSOLE - made of Eco-Pure® foam and contains Rackle’s proprietary PLEXUS ARCH™ design.
EcoPure® foam - promotes bio-degradation and breaks down in biologically active landfill conditions.*
PLEXUS ARCH™ - raised ribbed arch design stimulates the foot where veins in the arch area meet (plexus) during forward motion (e.g. walking, etc.). PLEXUS ARCH™ technology offers recovery and comfort for people on the go.
LACES - a combination of hemp and 100% recycled material. Each pair of hemp shoes is shipped with two sets of different colored shoe laces (solid and checkered).

Free shipping and returns within the USA. Rackle hemp shoes are produced with a full circle of product life approach. We ship our hemp footwear in a recycled/recyclable mailer that is a shoebox all in one.
*Using the ASTM D5511 test method,(EVA outsoles/midsoles) containing EcoPure® were found to biodegrade 52% over 457 days of independent 3rd-party testing. The test conditions were >51% solids, which is representative of some, not all landfill conditions. Results shall not be extrapolated past the actual duration of the test.
